El Mesías inesperado

En Marcos 8:22-9:1, Jesús sana progresivamente a un ciego y abre el entendimiento de sus discípulos para reconocer que él es el Cristo. Pero la confesión de Pedro no basta: Jesús revela que su misión pasa por el sufrimiento, el rechazo, la muerte y la resurrección. El pasaje llama a abandonar expectativas equivocadas del Mesías y a seguirlo negándose a uno mismo, tomando la cruz y mirando la vida eterna como la recompensa que vale más que ganar el mundo entero.
